Chengdu

Chengdu, the laid-back capital of Sichuan province, dazzles with world-famous giant pandas, fiery cuisine, and a teahouse culture that makes every hour feel leisurely. Costs are remarkably low by international standards, with street food, metro rides, and even top attractions coming in well under what you'd pay in most Asian capitals.
